Bluebonnet Smile has been busy, busy, busy getting our collection ready for the Barn Sale in Gonzales on November 1 and 2. Make sure you put it on your calendar, you won't want to miss it. Here is a sneek preview of some of the items Bluebonnet Smile will have available.
This summer two new little ones learned how to crochet. My oldest Granddaughter, Leilani, learned a couple of summers ago and this summer it was Lauren and McKenzie's turn. Now if all of their mom's would just learn.
I think we will just call it wonderful. So fun to take something old and make it new. I guess it is like a haircut and dye job for furniture. So what started as an old twin headboard and foot board, are now this perfect bench.
Put this beauty inside, on your porch or in your garden. Perfect right inside the front door to kick off your boots and heels after a day at work (or play). This lady will be available at The Girls at Rusted Gingham's Barn Sale in November if no one has grabbed her by then.
We have something new that we love. Banana fiber yarn. Banana fiber is super soft yet durable, and a great renewable resource. You will not believe how soft this and how much fun you will have when you wear it.
We have added more colors for our Tiara and Tutu sets. They are so darling. Won't that new little princess in your life be beautiful in her first photo with this on? We cannot decide which is our favorite. What do you think?
If you are in need of that perfect baby gift, look at what we have now. Crochet crowns and matching diaper covers. Perfect for that first photo shoot or just playing baby dress up. We have them in multiple colors with additional colors coming soon. Check out Bluebonnet Smile's Etsy shop and see what else we have been working on.
Believe it or not every now and then we take a bit of time to do something just for us. We have a trash to treasure project going on right now, and you can see what we are up to by going to our blog La Sonrisa and look around. We will have details of what we did when everything is complete. Go take a look, we think you will like it.
We know this scarf is call a mobius, we know what it looks like, but what is the true definition of a mobius.
Mobius strip:A mathematical object, or a physical representation of it, which is a two-dimensional sheet with only one surface. It is constructed or visualized as a rectangle, one end of which is held fixed while the opposite end is twisted through a 180 degree angle and joined to the fixed end. It is a two-dimensional object that can only exist in a three-dimensional space. Don't you like that last sentence - a two-dimensional object that can only exist in a three-dimensional space. Whoever wrote this knows nothing about yarn and crochet. We can make it however we want in any dimension. These scarf/wraps are crochet by Bluebonnet Smile of reclaimed Sari Silk yarn made by women in India and Nepal. By using this yarn, Bluebonnet Smile is helping provide income to poverty stricken women in these countries. Look at the beautiful colors we have in our shop with more to come. Head on over to Bluebonnet Smile's ETSY shop and check them out, they are ready to ship.
Bluebonnet Smile is sooooo excited. We have opened out ETSY store. Run on over and check us out at Bluebonnet Smile on Etsy. We have aprons, candle holders, eco-friendly hand crochet, cotton washcloths, and baby hats. You don't know what you are missing until you go look. Goodies will be added often.
